The Best Places to Sit, Stay + Play with Your Pooch

WhynotMEpet of the Week: Qbert ADOPTED!

Hey everyone! My name’s Qbert, a 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix—which means I’m a pandemic baby, and I’m ready to find my forever home. You can adopt me through Seattle Humane.

About Me:

As you know, I was born during the pandemic and my first family struggled to teach me how to socialize. So honestly, I tend to feel a bit nervous when meeting new people and going to new places.

I still think I’m an amazing dog! Once I get to know more about you, I’ll be happy to run in the yard, play fetch and enjoy the day with you.

I’d like to be in a new household where I can slowly regain my confidence again. I’ll surely shower my new family with lots of kisses and cuddles.

Animal Interactions:

I used to have a bunch of dog friends—especially the big ones. I might be too rough for smaller pups. Also, I have no known history with cats.

The type of home I’m looking for:
  • I’m still learning how to cope with fear and anxiety, so I’d do best in a quiet home with a fenced yard. Busy neighborhoods with big apartments and buildings overwhelm me.

  • I like old dogs and people in general. So, teens and older please!

#WhynotMEpets is a statewide campaign that gives cats and dogs needing more care and attention a greater chance of finding a home as quickly as possible. Its mission focuses on animals that have been homeless for two months or longer; are elderly; have behavior or medical needs; aren’t thriving in the shelter environment; or make up a large percentage of the shelter population, such as bully breeds. These are the animals asking “Why not me?” To learn more, visit
